- School Field Trips for Pre K through?Third grade will be engaged with a traffic safety lesson?built on?recognizing commonly found road signs, their shapes, and meanings of their colors.? School bus safety is also highlighted along with pedestrian safety.? Each School Field Trips program will end with a musical activity as an enhancement to the lesson.
- School Field Trips for 4th?-8th?graders will be challenged with our ?Archeologist Adventure? as they solve questions/problems based on our permanent exhibit, focusing on the history Automobile manufacturing in New York State along with racing in New York.
- School Field Trips for 9th?- 12th?graders on their School Field Trips will engage in an Alternative Fuel activity where they will compare and make distinctions among the 5 alternative fuels: Gasoline, Ethanol, Electric,?Bio diesel?and Hydrogen Fuel Cells, their impact on the?environment/lifestyle/economy.
- School Field Trips for?All summer and fall programs will be based on our new NASCAR exhibit, where they will learn of the safety?precautions?taken by the drivers and the NASCAR association for both the race cars and their drivers.? Students will then be engaged with the National Science Foundation?s ?Science of?Speed? videos where they will learn the many laws of science that apply to NASCAR racing!
Each student on their School Field Trips will receive a gift bag from the museum containing practical, fun and informational materials.
Cost: $5.00 per student (Chaperones are free)

SAM?s Garage is a place where children learn about cars while gearing up for life.
All School Filed?Trips?include a Program at SAM?s Garage encourage non-traditional, multigenerational learning opportunities for underserved children utilizing historic automobiles. The goal is to help students on their School Field Trips increase their understanding and proficiency in math, science and history, while helping them to improve their desire to stay in school, develop strong leadership skills and healthy community relationships. Previous School Field Trips projects include the restoration of the iconic Ford Model TT Popcorn Wagon seen at many of the Museum?s summer auto and lawn shows, and a Model A Huckster built from scratch.
The Museum has also served as a host for the Pinewood Derby with local Cub Scouts, provides an education area inside the museum for School Field Trips where students can learn about cars and racing and during the Holidays, welcomed Santa Claus to its garage.
The mission of the Saratoga Automobile Museum in New York is to preserve, interpret and exhibit automobiles and automotive artifacts.
